How an Elevated Sandmound Works
While this presentation has addressed the most common form of elevated sandmound, there are variations. The most common variation is the use of an aerobic treatment tank in place of a septic tank. In essence, an aerobic tank is a mini-sewage treatment plant and much more efficient than a septic tank in processing the sewage.
