How an Elevated Sandmound Works
As the tank empties, it lowers the pump activation float. at the proper point, it turns the pump off. A certain amount of effluent will always remain in the tank. This amount will increase slightly as the effluent in the pipes drains back into the tank. This helps prevent the effluent from freezing between doses.
